Provincial Planning and Monitoring Unit of the Central Provincial Council functions as the heart of the provincial planning process. This falls directly under the Chief Secretary of the Central Province responsible for overall planning, monitoring and progress review of development projects and programmes performed by the Ministries and Departments at sub-national level. Furthermore it involves maintaining and coordinating the provincial progress monitoring system. Also the Unit plays a crucial role when it comes to Public Private Partnerships (PPP). The Unit also takes the leadership role in eliminating the inequality in resource distribution in the province to ensure the equitable access to resources to all of the Central Province’s population.
